As Flint residents adjust their daily routines around the water crisis that quickly gained national attention, our local employees, many of whom have worked for the company since we entered the Flint community 30+ years ago, continue to drive Comcast’s efforts to help our friends and neighbors as needed.

Most recently, nearly 140 Comcast employees and their family members from across Michigan teamed up with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint to set up a one-stop shop and get much-needed information and resources in the hands of impacted Flint residents.

More than 400 families were served that morning:

  • Volunteers passed out 300+ water filters, 300+ replacement cartridges and nearly 200 water testing kits.
  • More than 30 pallets of individual serving-sized bottled water were distributed as well as more than 400 multi-gallon jugs. In addition to loading the water right into the residents’ vehicles, some volunteers canvassed neighborhoods where residents couldn’t easily come to us and brought the much-needed resources to them.
  • Nearly 100 Flint families signed up for curb-side recycling to help keep the empty plastic bottles out of landfills.

Comcast couldn’t have made such a tremendous impact without the leadership and compassion of our local Flint employees and our invaluable partnership with the Boys & Girls Club. We’ll continue looking for ways to support the people of Flint.
