As jazz music filled the halls of Posh at the Scranton Club, friends of VaxServe and Sanofi Pasteur celebrated a successful fundraiser that will donate more than $200,000 to local charities.

“This year alone we raised $230,000,” said Ellyn Schindler, director of corporate social responsibility and community engagement for Sanofi Pasteur.

Ms. Schindler and others presented a check at the eighth annual Lackawanna County Community Fundraiser, “Jazzin It Up,” held at Posh on Thursday night. The money raised by this year’s event will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Scranton, the Employment Opportunity and Training Center and Marley’s Mission.
