As summer continues, Versaic's Energy clients are powering the way with their CSR initiatives. We have picked some of the highlights from their various giving programs to share with you- we hope their good work will inspire you in your quest for making an impact in your community! 

DTE Energy Lightens Bills

DTE Energy donated $2.5 million to assist low-income residents in the city of Detroit and Southeast Michigan. This donation is expected to help drive enrollment of nearly 3,000 customers in DTE's Low-Income Self-Sufficiency Plan (LSP), which will help customers stay cool during extreme summer temperatures and provide relief to residents who are struggling to pay their energy bills. More than 35,000 residents were enrolled in DTE Energy's LSP during the 2015-2016 program year. 

Eversource Helps Energize Fight Against Drugs

Eversource Energy has made a $2,500 donation to North End Against Drugs program and will continue the long storied history of Boston Edison and NSTAR as a Corporate sponsor. This contribution will help keep the family fun and Teen Programs running for another season.

Vectren Contributes to Brighter Futures

United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) was recently awarded a $20,000 grant from Vectren Energy Delivery to address financial stability and income for individuals in Morgan County.This grant will be utilized to offset expenses to hire a financial stability coach, who will primarily serve the 33 percent of Morgan County residents who have household incomes below the basic cost of living. The addition of a financial stability coach in Morgan County is one of the key initiatives to address UWCI’s community impact framework.

Exxon Fuels Disaster Relief 

Exxon Mobil Corporation announced that it will donate $500,000 to the American Red Cross and the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank to support local flooding disaster relief assistance in Louisiana. The Red Cross provides food, shelter, counseling and other assistance to the victims of disasters. Annually, Exxon donates about $5 million to agencies and schools in the Baton Rouge area.
