2011-2012 Environmental Sustainability Report Builds Strong Foundation For Caesars Entertainment CodeGreen Efforts In 2013

LAS VEGAS, February 5, 2013 /3BL Media/ – Caesars Entertainment Corporation released its 2011-2012 Sustainability report in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative specifications, earmarking its progress and increased notoriety among sustainability professionals and regulators.

During the past 18 months, the company’s comprehensive sustainability strategy, CodeGreen, has effectively addressed the way the company approaches energy conservation, carbon emissions, renewable energy, use of alternative fuels, water use and waste diversion practices. With large-scale investments in organizational capacity building, Caesars is well positioned to fulfill its next-stage CodeGreen strategy focused on low carbon and meet its long term environmental targets that include:

Energy Conservation

  • Long Term Target: 20 percent reduction 2007-2015 fossil fuel use per air-conditioned square foot
  • Short Term Target: On track for 40 percent reduction 2007-2025 in fossil fuel use per air-conditioned square foot

Carbon Emissions Reduction

  • Long Term Target: 40 percent reduction 2007-2025
  • Short Term Target: On track to achieve 10 percent reduction 2007-2013

Water Use

  • Long Term Target: 10 percent reduction 2008-2015 per air-conditioned square foot
  • Short Term Target: On track to achieve 15 percent reduction per air-conditioned square foot 2008-2020

The company’s efforts to align its business practices with charitable giving and employee volunteerism have expanded its ability to address social issues such as safe access to clean water and hygiene products.
