Blast from the past

Former Action Team Captains Neil Kirschling, of the West Deptford (NJ) Action Team, and Kari Foley, from St. Margaret's in St. Louis Park,  Minnesota, were able to personally witness just how much the Action Team youth volunteer program has expanded, when they traveled to New York to be a part of an indoor baseball clinic hosted by the Queens Vocational Action Team. They relished in the continued strength of the Action Team program and shared with the Captains from Queens just how much being a part of the Action Team has shaped their future.

"Now I'm seeing the direct path from the Action Team to what I am doing today. Everything just comes full circle," said Neil, who recently graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Public Affairs.

Joining both past and present Action Team Captains were Miami Marlins' outfielder Giancarlo Stanton and New York Yankees pitcher Chris Capuano. Together they helped Queens Vocational Action Team Captains--members of their school's baseball team--with their youth baseball clinic and to participate in the taping of a new Action Team Public Service Announcement (PSA).
