Action Team of the Week: Bergenfield High School
Oct 20, 2014 5:30 PM ET
Our Action Team of the Week is Bergenfield High School from New Jersey.
Recently, the Bergenfield Action Team participated in the "Making Strides of Ridgefield Park Walk," dedicated to raising awareness and funds to support breast cancer research.
Bergenfield Action Team Captains encouraged and inspired 50 of their peers and faculty members to participate in the walk. Together, they raised $600 for the American Cancer Society.
The team ranked 143 out of 430 in total fundraising efforts, which placed them in the top 33% of participating teams within Bergen County.
Congratulations Bergenfield Action Team on your great efforts to inspire others in your community to get out and get involved in amazing causes!
Upcoming events for Bergenfield Action Team include:
Action Team “Zombie 5k Run”

ABOUT THE ACTION TEAM
In 2003, the Major League Baseball Players Trust and Volunteers of America created the Action Team national youth volunteer program to recruit and train high school students to become volunteers in their communities. Major Leaguers help inspire and encourage high school students to serve as Action Team Captains, who in turn deliver an important message to their peers: Volunteering is cool, fun and personally rewarding. #JoinOurTeam
