November 10, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Antea®Group, a global engineering and environmental consulting firm, is pleased to announce recognition today as an accredited CDP USA Water Consultancy Partner and founding member of CDP’s new Corporate Water Pilot Program. Through this partnership, CDP has accredited Antea Group to offer water consultancy expertise to companies who respond to CDP’s annual water questionnaire, including Water Reporter Services members and Water Supply Chain program members as well as their suppliers. Antea Group was specifically selected based upon proven expertise supporting a wide range of individual companies and consortiums, such as the Beverage Industry Environmental Roundtable (BIER), with advancing their water programs from strategy through watershed-level implementation. Specific areas of expertise include: corporate water strategy development; water risk and opportunity screening; watershed assessments; true cost and water valuation; facility optimization and balancing, stakeholder engagement, and reporting and disclosure.
Launched in 2000, CDP collates and publishes information for over 4,500 organizations in more than 75 countries around the world. Each year, CDP distributes annual disclosure questionnaires to thousands of companies worldwide, requesting information on governance, performance, risks, and opportunities as they relate to climate change, water, and forest resources.
The objective of the CDP Water Program and Water Consultancy Partnership is to accelerate corporate water performance by connecting companies pursuing advanced water strategies with accredited water consultancies. “Antea Group has demonstrated a clear commitment to encouraging high quality disclosure of environmental data from leading global corporations,” said Cate Lamb, CDP’s Head of Water. “Of note, the firm has displayed strong credentials in regards to environmental reporting services across multiple sectors and we are delighted to extend our partnership and leverage Antea Group’s unique Corporate Water Stewardship expertise.”
Since 2008, Antea Group’s Sustainability Practice has provided clients with corporate reporting and disclosure services, ranging from first time response facilitation and external message development, to gap assessment and refinement for repeat disclosures. Recognition as an accredited CDP Consultancy Partner for both Climate and Water positions Antea Group as a proven, full service option for companies responding to CDP and/or advancing their water and sustainability efforts. The extension of the CDP partnership provides Antea Group with the ability to further leverage its practical expertise to support reporting frameworks that properly align investor needs with business realities.
“This partnership validates our leadership in supporting companies with Corporate Water Stewardship,” said Nick Martin, Sustainability Practice Lead and Senior Consultant at Antea Group. “We look forward to expanded opportunities to share our experience and expertise in addressing water-related risks and opportunities and assisting clients with meaningful data collection and disclosures through our unique Better Business, Better World™ approach.”
CDP disclosure questionnaires and Water Program information are available on the CDP website (www.cdp.net). Organizations will be receiving invitations to respond to the next CDP Water questionnaire starting in early February 2015.
