Aramark Healthy For Life™ Empowers Healthy Lifestyle Choices

Based on Aramark proprietary research as well as global health trends, Healthy for Life™ supports good nutrition and healthy lifestyles that improve wellness.  More than two thirds of adults and three out of four college students surveyed by the company indicate they are striving to be careful about what they eat and want to know how to make better nutrition and lifestyle choices.

Healthy for Life™ includes a wide variety of solutions that work together to encourage people to select from the many lower calorie, lower fat, whole grain and vegetarian or vegan choices that best fit their lives and support healthier lifestyles.  The program continuously encourages healthy choices with activities like on-site health fairs, healthy food sampling events, cooking demonstrations by Aramark chefs, and wellness workshops with ARAMARK dietitians.    

Aramark is currently introducing Healthy for Life™ to 2.5 million college and university students.  On each campus, the Aramark Healthy for Life™ program will include digital wellness centers as a central hub for nutrition and wellness on campus and feature innovative menus and nutrition information at food stations, as well as virtual walking tours highlighting healthy options. The company will also provide students 24/7 access to nutrition and wellness information through online and social media programs, including the Aramark CampusDish^® mobile app and website.

“People are thinking differently about menu choices and are actively seeking information about how nutrition impacts their health,” said Cathy Schlosberg, Vice President of Marketing, Aramark Higher Education. “On more than 30 college and university campuses where the program was piloted, we found that Healthy for Life™ helps students gain a better understanding of food and empowers them to make the choices that will ultimately support them in living healthier lives.” 

According to Schlosberg, feedback from participants at pilot locations emphasized that Healthy for Life™ works because it’s a lifestyle program, not a diet program. It conveys to people the things they should be considering as they make choices for their meals.  

In addition to its fall rollout to colleges and universities, Aramark will be expanding Healthy for Life™ to workplaces, healthcare facilities, and other locations that Aramark serves.
