The increasing focus on helping combat child poverty is a core priority of a wide range of NGOs. In the port city of Hamburg in northern Germany, three so-called "ARCHEN" (“arks”) help children and young people in low-income neighborhoods. Die Arche - Christliches Kinder- und Jugendwerk e.V. is 95% financed by donations.

IVECO NORD, an IVECO dealership – a commercial vehicles brand of CNH Industrial, has supported "DIE ARCHE" for many years. With the support of the CNH Industrial Solidarity Fund, a generous donation of $25,000 was made, this forms part of the $2 million total fund amount. The check was delivered by an impressive IVECO S-WAY truck. Many of the children had fun climbing up into the truck, taking a closer look at everything and then trying it out. Some of the children were so enthusiastic that they even queued up for a third time to become ‘the driver’ again.
