Ashoka EIR Kicks Off Pro Bono Week 2014 with Taproot Foundation
Ashoka's Executive in Residence program, a global leader in matching corporate executives with top social entrepreneurs for impactful pro bono placements, is partnering with Taproot Foundation for its second annual Pro Bono Week. Pro Bono Week is a global celebration of the pro bono ethic across all professions that use their talents to make a difference. Inspired by the American Bar Assocation's National Celebration of Pro Bono, Taproot works with partners around the globe to focus attention on the pro bono movement each year during the third week of October.
From October 19 to 25, tune in daily to the EIR blog to read new posts exploring the design, implementation, and impact of pro bono collaboration. These posts will cover pressing topics such as leadership development through pro bono work, how pro bono initiatives create shared value for business, and the future of pro bono across sectors. We will be featuring interviews with both Ashoka fellows and some of our corporate partners, such as Linklaters and Latham & Watkins. We also encourage you to follow the conversation on social media: #PBW14.
