Auburn Athletics' Merchandise Line for Military Appreciation Day to Benefit The Boot Campaign

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 18, 2012 /3BL Media /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Boot Campaign is grateful to be the recipient of proceeds from a new merchandise line from Auburn Athletics. To celebrate Military Appreciation Day, Auburn Athletics has launched a special military-themed merchandise line, which includes sweatshirts, shirts and hats. The items are on sale online at www.aufanshop.com, in the Auburn Team Shop and at other local retailers. Military Appreciation Day is scheduled for the Oct. 27 game against Texas A&M at 6 p.m.
Created by Under Armour, Auburn is selling two styles of hats, a hooded sweatshirt, polo shirt and t-shirt. Ten percent of the sales of these items will go to The Boot Campaign, a non-profit group that donates to programs caring for military personnel healing from a variety of physical and emotional combat wounds.
"The Auburn Athletics Department has a long legacy of giving back and recognizing those who serve within our US Military," Larry Murray, Boot Campaign Director of Operations. "We were ecstatic when Auburn officials told us that they were getting their Boots On and helping us show support for Auburn's Military Appreciation Day."
In addition to online and at the AU Team shop, the special merchandise can be found at Alumni Hall, the Auburn University Bookstore, Big Blue Bookstore, Johnston and Malone Bookstore, Wakefield's/Martin's and Tiger Rags.
