Banorte-Ixe "Bank of the Year 2011"

(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) December 1, 2011 - The growth achieved in recent months by Grupo Financiero Banorte through various mergers and strategic alliances was, among others, one of the elements considered by the jury of the Group Financial Times to give "Banorte-Ixe" through its publication specialized "The Banker" awarded "Bank of the Year 2011."
Banorte today "Banorte - Ixe" receives this award for the sixth time, after been distinguished as a leader by implementing a model Premium and Wholesale Banking. He also emphasized the strategy of adopting international best practices regarding corporate governance and initiatives related to social responsibility. After receiving the award in 2000, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009, the magazine reported that this year "Banorte - Ixe" had a considerable increase in both market share and in its commercial network, same as became one of the largest in the country. Also, The Banker said that "Banorte - Ixe" did an excellent financial and risk management during a period characterized by turbulence in international markets. The award "Bank of the Year 2011" was received in London by Mr. Alejandro Garay Espinosa General Director of Corporate Services of the institution who represented the General Director of the Financial Group, Dr. Alejandro Valenzuela said: "We are very proud to succesfully close this year which was very important for Banorte after the merger with IXE Grupo Financiero, the third largest financial institution in Mexico and the first Mexican capital.
