Banorte-Ixe promotes awareness on climate change by participating in the Carbon Disclosure Project’s Global Climate Change Forum
On September 12th The Carbon Disclosure Project’s Global Climate Change Forum: Succeeding in an uncertain, resource constrained world will take place starting at 8:00 a.m. CDT.
During this event, decision-makers from some of the most powerful global companies and thought-leaders will explore and identify measures for how businesses can succeed in an uncertain, resource constrained world.
Banorte-Ixe invites you to attend this event, which will be broadcast live via CISCO TelePresence. To register and access the forum, visit the following CDP website: https://www.cdproject.net/en-US/Pages/cdp-global-climate-change-forum.aspx
In the forum, participants will discuss:
- How to unlock and drive investment in low-carbon technologies and energy efficiency measures during a time of economic challenge;
- The importance of managing operating costs which are impacted by price increases for energy and key commodities, as well as extreme weather events;
- Transformative best practice on adapting to resource scarcity and creating long-term sustainable business models;
- The need for political leadership on climate change issues; as well as greater certainty and clarity in regulation; and
- Business leadership to demonstrate that climate change issues are a key factor when creating long-term sustainable business practices.
The forum will be helpful to reflect on the progress made at Rio+20 and to construct a "call to action" for the COP18 to be held in late November of this year.
As The Strong Bank of Mexico, Banorte-Ixe will participate in this high-level event, represented by the Financial Group’s CEO, Alejandro Valenzuela del Río, exchanging ideas and experiences as the only Mexican private bank signatory of the Carbon Disclosure Project, in order to promote actions that help mitigate climate change and move towards a green economy.
Banorte-Ixe invites organizations to attend this forum and engage their decision-makers in these efforts, in order to identify the risks and opportunities that climate change poses to their business and promote awareness about these issues. To Make Mexico Stronger.
