Black & Veatch Positions for Impact on Michigan’s Water Utilities
Bill Popp will work to assist water and wastewater utilities across southeast Michigan
OVERLAND PARK, Kan., July 30, 2019 /3BL Media/ – Black & Veatch, a global leader in water infrastructure development, is working to help further the mission of water utilities in Michigan by naming Bill Popp as Senior Project Manager in the company’s Water business.
In this role, Popp will help Black & Veatch deliver quality service to water and wastewater utilities across southeast Michigan. He will leverage his management, engineering, contract and permitting expertise to help clients meet regional challenges related to infrastructure renewal, funding shortfalls, and regulatory requirements related to nutrients, polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and lead and copper contamination, among other needs.
This appointment comes as water and wastewater utilities throughout the U.S. work to update aging infrastructure, increase resilience and improve resource efficiency and sustainability. Black & Veatch’s Water team helps clients manage every stage of the water life cycle, efficiently and effectively collecting, storing, moving and treating water and wastewater while enhancing resilience and sustainability.
Popp has more than three decades’ experience implementing solutions for water utilities and serving communities across Michigan while working for local, regional and national engineering companies. Popp will be based in Black & Veatch’s office in the Detroit, Michigan area.
