Boeing Engineers Work With US2020 SMA Winner Iridescent to Create STEM Design Challenges
Ever thought you could learn about engineering with everyday materials like a paper cup, a straw or a ping pong ball? Or that you could find these challenges in an easy to use, online platform? Through collaboration with Iridescent – an education partner for Boeing’s centennial and US2020 2015 STEM Mentoring Awards winner for excellence in volunteer experience – our engineers and scientists have done just that. They’re helping to create more than 20 hands-on design challenges based on real Boeing products and innovations, but in a way that’s affordable, accessible and made just for students.
Accessible on Iridescent’s Curiosity Machine, these fun, free engineering design challenges on a digital platform that connects trained engineers and scientists with students and their families to foster curiosity, creativity, and persistence.
Check out the first four challenges of many more that will be released throughout the coming year, culminating with the Boeing 100th celebration on July 15, 2016.
