Booz Allen Expands Its Colorado Footprint—and Space Capabilities

The Denver metropolitan area is a leader in space and defense, with over 21,000 people employed in the industry. With the opening of its new Aurora office, Booz Allen will add even more.

The new 10,000 square foot office— along with planned data science job openings in the coming year - are part of a larger push to expand Booz Allen’s space and defense operations. 

Accommodating an expanding practice

The firm has recently won contracts for integrating satellite ground systems and related space technologies and creating new technologies. This builds on more than 50 years of support for national, defense, and civil space missions—from America’s first missile defense strategy to today’s space information systems.

Senior Vice President Steve DelBusso calls Colorado a very “important node” for Booz Allen.

In Colorado Springs, roughly 400 Booz Allen employees work on defense-related projects connected to U.S. Space Command. Roughly 200 are working in and around  Denver on aerospace and other technology projects. Over the past two years, Booz Allen has expanded its Colorado presence by 40 percent, counting Buckley Air Force Base, the Denver Federal Center, and U.S. Space Command among its Colorado customers.

Well positioned for space—and career—exploration

Aurora offers employees more than 300 days of sunshine a year and proximity to the Rocky Mountains. The new Aurora office is designed to look like a mountain lodge and is convenient to both Denver International Airport and Buckley Air Force Base. The new office  also  supports both unclassified and classified work.
