Booz Allen Partners with Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute to offer Testing & Evaluation Boot Camp for Engineering Students
Booz Allen is committed to building a diverse and inclusive multicultural workforce that reflects the world we live in. To further that goal, staff from our Albuquerque, NM office partnered with the firm’s Native American employee resource group to support the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) engineering program this past December. SIPI is a National Indian Community College and Land Grant Institution that prepares American Indian and Alaskan Native students for attendance at four year colleges.
The firm’s senior instructor for the internal Test & Evaluation (T&E) Boot Camp, Dr. Timothy Scully, taught a two-day T&E Boot Camp workshop to SIPI engineering students from December 17-18, 2015. With a driving need for technical staff with engineering and IT backgrounds to support future growth in the Booz Allen Albuquerque Office, this effort helped to advance the test and evaluation capability of SIPI’s engineering curriculum, and prepared SIPI students for potential internship opportunities at the firm.
At Booz Allen, we seek out different ideas, backgrounds, and experiences to help us deliver the best solutions for our clients. The firm’s increased focus on building an inclusive workforce to support our business has been led by our Multicultural Agenda – a leadership-driven initiative that promotes strategic priorities for multicultural staff at the highest levels of our organization and across the firm. This remains a business imperative for Booz Allen as we continue our commitment to diversity and inclusion.
