BrownFlynn and AIAG Announce Partnership to Deliver GRI Training
(3BL Media) Cleveland, OH - July 2, 2012 - BrownFlynn, a corporate responsibility and sustainability consulting firm and the first U.S.-certified training partner of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), is pleased to announce its partnership with the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) to deliver GRI training. AIAG recently became an Organizational Stakeholder (OS) to the GRI as a demonstration of its commitment to promoting transparency and consistent reporting standards in the automotive industry.
Training will be offered in a variety of different platforms, including in-person at the offices of AIAG and via webinar. Courses are as follows:
- "The GRI Framework Overview," a one-hour, online, executive-level overview of the GRI basics.
- "The GRI Snapshot," a four-hour introduction to sustainability reporting using the GRI approach.
- "The GRI Process," a two-day session on GRI's tool for managing sustainability and corporate responsibility processes.
GRI is the most widely-used sustainability reporting framework, with more than 80 percent of the Global 250 reporting according to GRI. The framework provides detailed guidance to companies wishing to report their environmental, social and governance impacts.
