(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) April 27, 2011 - Webinar - Thursday, April 28, 2011, 1:00 - 2:00 PM EST / 10:00 - 11:00 AM PST
Employee Volunteer Programs (EVPs) are becoming increasingly popular with companies seeking new avenues for engaging with employees and other stakeholders. As EVPs are an emerging area of corporate community involvement, the models and frameworks established are ever evolving. Thus, it is essential for corporations developing EVPs to tailor their programs to the needs of their employees and key external stakeholders while anchoring the programs within their organization's overall commitment to corporate responsibility. EVPs range dramatically from a company-sponsored "day of volunteering" around a specific cause, to a robust program where employees leverage their professional skills to support and build the capacity of not-for-profit organizations. This webinar is a synthesis of the leading thinking of experts and provides a roadmap for building an Employee Volunteer Program. Participants will:-
learn about different structural approaches to Employee Volunteer Programs and their relationship to organizational CSR/sustainability performance
-
gain information on the seven common phases for developing a successful Employee Volunteer Program
-
hear corporate examples to illustrate each developmental phase
