The product features an enhanced reporting framework that allows users to pre-populate standard reports in one click, greatly reducing the time and effort typically associated with generating these reports. By automating the process, organizations can help provide they are providing the most updated and consistent data while maintaining flexibility to add in required narratives and supporting documentation when needed. Organizations looking to manage their sustainability programs across global operations can benefit from flexible and dynamic multi-currency reporting and dashboard capabilities. Users can record data in their local metric, unit, or currency, and then select a single unit of currency or metric for consistent reporting across global locations. Further, CA ecoGovernance offers nine languages out of the box, dramatically improving the ability to manage sustainability programs on an international scale. These languages include Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. In addition, with CA ecoSoftware, organizations can take advantage of enhanced forecasting and scenario modeling tools, helping sustainability managers to review forecasted outcomes and fine-tune investment levels. This allows users to better align and prioritize activity against their investment and business objectives. CA ecoSoftware is fully integrated with the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager software, allowing users to benchmark the energy performance of their commercial buildings using EPA’s 1 to 100 rating scale. The CA ecoMeter Gateway permits access to these heterogeneous systems using different protocols such as Modbus TCP, BACnet and SNMP. CA ecoMeter is also designed to integrate with traditional building management systems. Using visual dashboards, data center and facilities managers can monitor energy efficiency trends, including historical PUE and DCiE metrics, for insight into how these calculated metrics vary over time, such as days, weeks or months. This insight can facilitate better decision-making and lead to improvements in overall energy efficiency and waste reduction. The CA ecoMeter calculation engine can be used by customers to create new formula-based attributes and metrics which can then be monitored, based on evolving business needs. CA ecoMeter has an enhanced discovery process which enables the system to automatically discover devices with which it can communicate. This process also creates a series of energy data points for the discovered devices which can then be tracked using the system. Automatic discovery can accelerate the process of setting up and maintaining operational energy management, especially across multiple locations. “The increasing emphasis on enterprise sustainability has significant impacts and implications for IT,” said Lee Dittmar, principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP and leader of Deloitte’s IT for Sustainability services. “IT is becoming recognized as an essential enabler of sustainability efforts throughout the enterprise, and the CIO’s agenda increasingly includes providing technology to manage and report on enterprise-wide energy use and carbon emissions, and providing the sustainability measurement and reporting tool sets. Working with CA Technologies, we will be able to broaden our sustainability services designed to help organizations in their efforts to accelerate their sustainability program successes.” To learn more about CA Technologies energy, carbon and sustainability solutions, visit: • On the Web: http://www.ca.com/ecoSoftware • Product demo: http://www.ca.com/us/products/collateral.aspx?cid=238596 • Energy & Sustainability Perspectives Blog: http://community.ca.com/blogs/greenit • On Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/CAecoSoftware About CA Technologies CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) is an IT management software and solutions company with expertise across all IT environments – from mainframe and distributed, to virtual and cloud.
