California Diversity Council Shares Hiring Best Practices at Inaugural Los Angeles Veterans Summit
Los Angeles, CA, October 26, 2016 /3BL Media/ – The California Diversity Council is proud to host the Inaugural Los Angeles Veterans Summit on November 10, 2016 at Paramount Pictures. This event will afford an opportunity for veterans and employers to learn best practices for hiring, transitioning, and retaining veterans in the civilian workforce.
“The National Diversity Council understands the importance of continued support for veterans as they transition from the military,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chair at the National Diversity Council. “This type of event offers support to veterans and employers in order to make the transition into the civilian workforce more comfortable.”
This half-day event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration and networking. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in two panel discussions; one veterans focused panel and one employer focused panel. Discussions will cover an array of topics such as resume and interview tips, hiring strategies, and retention strategies. Attendees will also have the opportunity to share their thoughts during the question and answer sessions following each panel discussion.
