Center of Excellence for International Corporate Volunteerism
The CEICV enables companies to start and expand International Corporate Volunteer (ICV) programs and direct skills-based employee resources to USAID-beneficiary organizations, including social enterprises, NGOs, educational institutions, and government agencies in emerging markets.
In addition to linking ICV programs to a broader international development strategy, the CEICV will facilitate a more standardized methodology for tracking the development impact of these programs and will provide a resource for companies to share best practices with regards to ICV program design, delivery, and measurement.
The CEICV has four primary goals:
- To enable companies of all sizes to start and expand ICV programs in emerging markets
- To enhance USAID’s sustainable development efforts by leveraging the skills and expertise of corporate “citizen-diplomats” to provide services to NGOs, social enterprises, and educational institutions
- To track development impact and best practices for ICV programs worldwide
- To act as a hub for public-private partnership and engagement between companies, USAID, and emerging market partners
