(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Monmouth County, NJ - February 27, 2012 - Cinderella's Closet of Monmouth County in cooperation with Novo Nordisk, Inc. will host a Prom Boutique on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Novo Nordisk's 1100 Campus Road location in Princeton. The Prom Boutique is open to high school students who are in need of prom attire and who have limited financial means.
Cinderella's Closet is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization that was founded five years ago by two (then) New Jersey high school students, Katie Adams of Rumson and Stephanie Tomasetta of Freehold. The mission of Cinderella's Closet is to promote self-esteem and to ensure that no student has to forfeit the prom experience due to financial hardship. The organization collects new and gently used formalwear and accessories suitable for prom. "The generosity of Novo Nordisk has enabled us to expand our reach to students in need this prom season by hosting an additional Prom Boutique at their beautiful facility. We are truly grateful to have Novo Nordisk as a major sponsor and corporate partner," said Katie Adams, who is now a junior at The University of Notre Dame. Stephanie Tomasetta, a senior at Stanford University, added, "We know that Cinderella's Closet will continue to grow with the support of companies like Novo Nordisk, whose employees have devoted so much to the success of the upcoming Prom Boutique." The company's Executive Team Administrative Council has been working with Cinderella's Closet for the past year in soliciting donations from employees and preparing for the upcoming event. "Let's not forget how important this rite of passage is for teenagers. We're happy to play a small part in helping our local high school students fully participate in this special occasion thanks to the important work Cinderella's Closet is doing in New Jersey," said Jeff Frazier, Corporate Vice President, Human Resources at Novo Nordisk. Students who would like to attend this year's Prom Boutique should register through their high school guidance office or, for more information, visit www.Cinderellasclosetmc.org.
