CITGO and Cash Magic Celebrate New Louisiana Location’s Grand Opening
Event follows fundraiser benefitting four local charities
Houma, La., March 23, 2015 /3BL Media/ – CITGO Petroleum Corporation and Cash Magic Truck Stops and Casinos held a grand opening celebration of the Cash Magic Prospect CITGO Truck Stop and Casino in Houma, Louisiana on March 5. The new Cash Magic CITGO station is one of seven new CITGO additions to Cash Magic’s growing portfolio.
The event follows a two month-long fundraiser, where Cash Magic CITGO customers were invited to purchase paper stars for $1 or more to benefit local charities in four regions across the state. The fundraiser collected nearly $6,000 to support four Louisiana nonprofits: Colors for Cause, Operation Homefront, the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana and Saint Helena Action for Equality (SAFE).
“We are grateful for the support of CITGO and Cash Magic,” said Colors for a Cause President Todd Parker, reflecting upon the donation. “This generous contribution enables us to help parents with children fighting cancer so they can focus on their kids without having to worry about making ends meet.”
Colors for a Cause is dedicated to helping Louisiana families with children battling cancer. Additional support went to Operation Homefront to provide financial assistance to military families, the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana to assist in stocking its pantries across the state and SAFE to help build a recreational area in St. Helena Parish.
