CNH Industrial Joins Forces to Help Communities Impacted by Heavy Rains in Brazil
“After the Storm Comes Solidarity” Campaign
In solidarity with the needs of the communities of Minas Gerais and Bahia (Brazil), affected by heavy rains in late 2021 and early 2022, CNH Industrial mobilized its production chain to collect donations, make deliveries and assist in the region’s recovery phase. Case IH, CASE Construction Equipment, New Holland Agriculture, New Holland Construction and CNH Industrial Capital are all brands of CNH Industrial.
"It is impossible not to become sensitized and get involved in the reality of these regions. We could not fail to use all our presence, strength, structure and logistics in this current of good, which moved the whole country. It was gratifying to witness the fantastic work that was achieved, together with our partners, and the social commitment of all involved," said Vilmar Fistarol, President of CNH Industrial for Latin America.
The campaign, “After the Storm Comes Solidarity”, was set up to provide emergency relief to the Brazilian communities of Minas Gerais and Bahia and contribute to the repair of the damage caused by the heavy rains in these areas. As part of this initiative, the company and its partners collected, throughout the month of January, more than 7,000 kg of food, approximately 1,500 liters of water, almost 1,500 kg of hygiene and cleaning products and more than 2,700 kg of clothing, which are being distributed with the support of the Civil Defense and CNH Industrial concessionaires that serve the regions. In addition, CNH Industrial’s construction equipment brands helped in the clean-up of the streets and roads.
CNH Industrial's initiatives and partners reinforce the company's purpose in contributing to the development of the country in all spheres. "Our role as a company that has Sustainability as a key management point is to act as a transforming agent in society and contribute collaboratively, carrying a message of support and hope," concludes Érika Michalick, Sustainability Manager, CNH Industrial Latin America.
