CNH Industrial Supports Local Community With Daycare Donation
CNH Industrial is stepping up to boost childcare in a Minnesota community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company’s Case IH agricultural manufacturing plant in Benson, MN has donated $12,000 to the Discovery Kids day care in the community.
The donation is part of a $2 million global Solidarity Fund initiative by the Company to support the fight against COVID-19 in communities where it does business that have been impacted by the virus.
The pandemic has created particular challenges for parents who have been forced to balance work responsibilities with childcare needs as daycares and schools have been closed. At the same time, childcare facilities are facing extra work and expenses to ensure the children in their care remain safe, including keeping the child-staff ratio low.
Discovery Kids, which is operated through the public school district, had its start in 1994 offering before and after school care, today provides care and education for infants right through to school-age children.
“We know how challenging this situation is for parents and for organizations in our communities that we depend on, like childcare centres,” says plant manager Jason Hausauer. “So, we are extremely proud to do our part to help our employees and our local community get through this pandemic by supporting Discovery Kids with this donation from our company’s Solidarity Fund.”
CNH Industrial and the CNH Industrial Foundation contribute financially to charities in local communities where the company has a presence, supporting education, health, civic and community improvement, food security and disaster relief initiatives. Ensuring healthy, thriving communities is a key pillar of CNH Industrial’s sustainability commitments, which run through every aspect of the company’s business.
CNH Industrial manufactures and markets construction and agricultural equipment under its Case IH, New Holland Agriculture, CASE Construction Equipment and New Holland Construction brands, as well as powertrains for FPT Industrial in North America.
