CNH Industrial's Sustainability Initiatives Recognised at UBS Forum's CSR Summit and Awards
CNH Industrial has been recognised yet again for its leading sustainability initiatives in India, winning an impressive four major prizes at the 2022 UBS Forum Corporate Social Responsibility Summit and Awards.
The prestigious awards, now in their fifth edition, were held at the Grand Hyatt in Gurgaon and strive to recognise the significant social impacts made by corporations and NGOs across India.
CNH Industrial won Best CSR Impact for its ‘Jal Sanchay’ project, which has revamped, rejuvenated and conserved four ponds across Greater Noida and Pithampur to enhance biodiversity and deliver clean water to nearby communities.
The company also collected CSR Project of the Year for its Medical Ambulance – a mobile unit that provides access to basic healthcare services for people living near the Greater Noida plant, particularly women and children – and for the Mission Education Project, which provides learning support to underprivileged children in Noida and encourages them, especially girls, to be ambitious about their futures.
Additionally, there was more success for CNH Industrial’s Straw Management Solution. The initiative aims to prevent the burning of crop stubble, which pollutes the atmosphere, damages the soil and causes land heating. It followed on from its success at July’s Indian Tractor of the Year Awards to win Best Innovative CSR Project.
However, it was not just the company’s projects that were celebrated as Kavita Sah, CNH Industrial India’s Head of CSR, was awarded Impactful CSR Leader of the Year. And participants at the event were able to listen to her valuable insight as she partook in a panel discussion on the topic of ‘CSR Key Focus Areas for Sustainability’.
