Comcast Named Top Military Spouse Friendly Employer
Military Spouse magazine released its annual Top 100 Military Spouse Friendly Employers’ list, and Comcast NBCUniversal is number one overall in 2017.
This recognition comes following the December 8 announcement that G.I. Jobs magazine ranked Comcast NBCUniversal number four on its 2017 Military Friendly Employer list, and continues to prove that the company’s focus on increased support and hiring of the military community has not gone unnoticed.
In the feature story of their January 2017 issue, Military Spouse highlights two military spouse employees in the Comcast family, including Nicola Batts, a Business Account Executive working in Pittsburgh with her husband, an Army major that serves with the Army Corps of Engineers unit in the city.
In the story, Batts says that "having a career with a company like this is kind of like a dream for me as a military spouse. Having something to call my own has been so important to me. It means more than I can say to know that Comcast understands I won’t be able to stay in this location forever, but they still appreciate what I have to give while I’m here and, most importantly, is willing to work with me on continuing my career with them in another location."
