Creating a Culture of Innovation in Cause Partnerships
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Earns Top Honors for Best-in-Class Cause Marketing
The Cause Marketing Golden Halo Award (Nonprofit), the highest honor for companies and causes that collaborate to produce business and social dividends, will be bestowed on Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at the 2014 Cause Marketing Forum conference.
The award will be accepted by John Lauck, CEO at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, at the Cause Marketing Forum conference to be held on May 28 and 29 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Chicago.
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals has leveraged corporate relationships to raise $5 billion for member children’s hospitals since 1983. Tapping the passion of consumers, CMN Hospitals works with corporate partners such as WalMart, Costco, Dairy Queen, Rite Aid and Food Lion to raise millions for children’s hospitals, often $1 at a time.
“Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is a fascinating case of a large, legacy nonprofit that has reinvigorated its corporate alliance program by embracing innovation,” said Cause Marketing Forum President David Hessekiel.
John Lauck, president and CEO of CMN Hospitals, began leading the company in 2011 and is focused on developing cutting-edge tactics to produce big results for sick and injured kids, as evidenced by the organization’s trailblazing internal cause innovation team and other technology-focused initiatives.
“As the world continues to change and new technology is developed, nonprofit organizations must evolve to meet donors where they are,” Lauck said. “We realize this needs to start from within our own organization, which is why we’ve made a culture of progress and innovation a top priority. At Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, we are dedicated to creating the fundraising of the future for local hospitals.”
