A Culture of Safety: Weatherford Celebrates World Day for Safety and Health at Work

Today we celebrate World Day for Safety and Health at Work, dedicated to the prevention of occupational incidents globally. The United Nations and International Labour Organization's annual awareness-raising campaign promotes safe, healthy, and decent work – stressing how a strong safety and health culture can help reduce the number of work-related injuries.

At Weatherford, our people work hard to source the materials that make everyday life possible, and ensuring their safety, health, and well-being is the most important thing we do. Our culture is not one of just “Safety First,” but rather “Safety Always.” Safety is built into every task we do, and it is through the dedication of our people that we are proud to announce that 2016 was our safest year yet. This video shares some of our safety achievements in 2016, and provides a glimpse into the procedures and controls we have in place to help manage risk.
