Saturday marked the best day of the year for Comcast employees.
At least that’s how Senior Executive Vice President David L. Cohen described Comcast Cares Day, a global event that puts 100,000 Comcast NBCUniversal employees, their family, friends and nonprofit organizations to work on 1,000 volunteer projects in the United States and 20 other countries.
“The numbers tell the story of the sheer magnitude of the day, but what they don’t convey are the stories behind those numbers — the people whose lives have been helped through Comcast Cares Day,” Cohen wrote in a blog post on Comcast’s site.
In Comcast’s hometown of Philadelphia, volunteers gathered for three events in the city.
