On April 22 each year Source Intelligence celebrates the modern environmental movement, known as Earth Day.  From its roots in the 1970’s anti-war movement and propelled forward by the rapidly increasing public consciousness, Earth Day has made invaluable impacts on the state of the sustainability on our planet.  Beginning with the formation Environmental Protection Agency and the passage impactful legislation such as the Clean Air Act and Endangered Species Act. We now find ourselves in an increasingly charged environmental realm in which global brands are complying with legislation passed by the U.S. Congress aiming to end the deadliest conflict since WWII.  The trend continues with Conflict Minerals legislation now being developed in Canada and the European Union and corporate social responsibility is skyrocketing as consumers demand supply chain transparency.
