Environmental Epicenter Tour hosted by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission There's no better place to get an exciting first-hand look at pioneering innovators in sustainability than San Francisco, the nation's environmental epicenter! On this engaging and entertaining adventure through the hub of one of the nation's greenest metropolitan areas, guests meet inspired local leaders of sustainability who are driving the global green agenda. We'll profile a panorama of innovative, cutting-edge stops—including the Sunset Reservoir Solar Array—pointing out local San Francisco points of interest along the way! Please note that separate registration is required. Sign up with registration at Side Events > Environmental Epicenter Tour.
Calling all cyclists. Riders from Center for Resource Solutions and 3Degrees are organizing a Saturday half-day ride after the conference. It will start from the waterfront, go across the Golden Gate Bridge, and wind through the beautiful Marin headlands, before a lunch stop and return trip to the hotel. This is intended for strong riders only, while there are a few places to meet up with transit, we're planning on a 50+ mile ride with a few steep hills and a fair chance for some strong headwinds, so keep that in mind. If you're interested in joining the group, and learning about local bike shops that rent road bikes, send an email to Jeff Swenerton at jeff@resource-solutions.org.
Conference Contact: please contact Beatriz Gómez at 415-561-2103 or beatriz@resource-solutions.org with questions about the conference or sponsorship information.
About Renewable Energy Markets
For nearly two decades, Renewable Energy Markets (REM) has defined and expanded marketplace opportunities for clean power. Bridging the interests of renewable energy generators, sellers, and utilities with those of purchasers, policymakers, and the communities that benefit from clean energy, REM is the nation's premier forum for the energy community to gather, learn from each other, and recognize best practices for promoting renewable energy. It is organized by the nonprofit Center for Resource Solutions and co-sponsored by the Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
