Booz Allen Hamilton Senior Vice President Dee Dee Helfenstein has been named to the prestigious list of “Women Worth Watching,” put out each year by Profiles in Diversity Journal to honor women who are “trailblazers leading the way to excellence in the workplace, marketplace and the world.”

Helfenstein has more than 20 years of experience leading businesses across both government and commercial industries including healthcare, finance, and government and citizen services.  She is currently a leader in the firm’s Defense Market.

Her expertise is in organization strategy and transformation, and since joining the firm in 1998, she has been involved in numerous transformation engagements across the federal government to include the IRS, DHS, SEC, DOL and Departments of Navy and Labor. In recognition for her work she has received the Vice President’s Hammer Award for Re-inventing Government, two IRS Commissioner’s Awards, and is a three time recipient of the Booz Allen Excellence Award, Booz Allen’s highest honor.

Helfenstein is committed to the growth and development of others and within Booz Allen is the Executive Sponsor for the Women’s Agenda and the firm’s Vice President Program.  Outside of work, she is a mother of two, actively engaged in her community, on the Board of Directors for the Management Consulting Institute and on the Corporate Advisory Council for Capital Partners for Education.

“It is an honor to be recognized by PDJ along with so many other women who have accomplished so much in their personal and professional lives.  My goal has always been to value and honor the trailblazers who have gone before me that have helped pave my journey, and to pay it forward to those that are coming behind me.  I hope I can continue to make the journey for our up and coming women leaders a little easier and brighter, even if just for a few.”

Profiles in Diversity Journal Publisher James Rector said, “Collectively, these women are forging ahead with global acclaim in strategies that are making a difference in their workplace, marketplace and around the world. These leaders bring an array of life experiences and views that consistently produce a variety of new concepts and ideas.”

Helfenstein, along with the other winners, will be profiled in an upcoming issue of Profiles in Diversity Journal.
