The Drive To End Hunger

Yum! Brands, parent company of KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut, is most commonly known for their secret fried chicken recipe, their delicious pizza and their south-of-the-border late night snacks. What may go unnoticed in a world of quick-service food is the dedication to feeding the hungry members of the Yum! Brands’ headquarter community and world-wide. Which, to Yum! Brands is as equally important as protecting Col. Sanders’ recipe.

October marks the sixteenth year of Yum! Brands and their tenth year of working to end hunger by working closely with Dare to Care.  To help celebrate each birthday, Yum! Brands hosts a food drive and for years, has donated over one million dollars annually. For the last three years, they’ve included the community in their food drives. This year is no different, although the goal is loftier – collect 16,000 pounds of food to celebrate YUM!’s sixteenth year.
