DuPont Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer Alexa Dembek Discusses Earth Day Investments

This Earth Day is a day of reflection, celebration, and most importantly, action to Invest in Our Planet - because when you invest in something, you make it stronger. 

Today, the world faces unprecedented challenges – in our climate, our social and economic systems and much more – and we believe that DuPont can be part of the solution. That’s why we’re investing in our employees, in our partnerships with customers and communities, and in sustainable innovations that will help generations now, and in the future thrive.

I’m proud of our tireless and fearless colleagues who work through difficult times to make our company stronger – exemplified by two key achievements toward our 2030 Sustainability Goals:

To help drive climate action, today, DuPont announced that our iconic brands, Kevlar®, Nomex® and Tyvek® will be produced using 100% renewable electricity through the purchase of renewable energy credits.

And, we have joined the Apple Supplier Clean Energy Program through our commitment to use 100% renewable energy, including RECs, in its manufacture of all products for Apple.
