Ecocentricity Blog: Musings from a Rainy Monday Evening
I usually write this blog on Mondays. In a normal week, I mosey on down to my local coffee shop on Monday morning, sidle up to the counter, order some variation of espresso mixed with steamed milk, and write. It’s an enjoyable routine, pleasantly punctuated by conversations with the baristas and friendly greetings from other usuals.
But sometimes Monday mornings decide to be busy. On those days, I adjust my schedule with polite deference. Trust me, of all the days, you do not want to get in a fight with Monday. Monday will wreck you.
And so I begin to write in the evening hours. It makes for a longer night, but it comes with a silver lining – I get to justifiably drink beer while “working”! In this case, the beer is a local graham cracker stout from Kennesaw, Georgia (Burnt Hickory Brewery does good work).
If you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m rambling because I have no clue what to write about on this particular Monday evening.
