Joe Arvai, is the Director of the Erb Institute at the University of Michigan; his research focuses on decision-making in support of the triple-bottom-line. His work unfolds in the real-world, and accounts for decision-making by a broad spectrum of public and stakeholder groups, as well as by technical experts, business leaders, and policy makers. Likewise, he conducts his research across a wide range of contexts, ranging from environmental risk management, to consumer choice and policy-making.
Joe is available to speak on a range of topics related to “Better Decisions for a Better World”. In these videos he explains how making decisions that are in line with people’s values and priorities projects a positive image to stakeholders, shareholders, and consumers. He also explains that a public commitment to sustainability does not always build corporate trust, and that businesses looking to be leaders should instead focus on the critical role of defensible decision making.
