ESGR Recognizes Tetra Tech’s Randy Everett With the Patriot Award
Supporting military families in Ohio and across the United States
Services for the U.S. Department of Defense
Tetra Tech’s Randy Everett, from our Solid Waste Solutions group, received the U.S. Department of Defense’s Employer Support of The Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award in January 2020. The Patriot Award is granted to those who make significant efforts to support reservists through measures including allowing flexible work schedules, approving time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.
Any employee serving in the U.S. National Guard or Reserve, or the spouse of a Guard or Reserve member may nominate individual supervisors and managers for support provided directly to the nominating service member and their family.
“This award recognizes the efforts of our managers who help support the men and women in the Guard and Reserve,” said Darrin Hartman, vice president of Tetra Tech's Solid Waste operations and maintenance division. “The award enables us to give back by helping our veterans fulfill their career aspirations in our communities and across the nation, while also enabling us to attract and retain the right talent for the complex challenges we solve here at Tetra Tech. We appreciate this acknowledgment and will continue to support our reservists in the communities we work in.”
In 2019 ESGR received more than 1,200 recommendations from military members nominating their supervisors. The ESGR has seven separate awards, recognizing employer for acts well done. The program helps employers develop and promote supportive work environments for Reserve component employees.
