He recently introduced Bill C-486, the Conflict Minerals Act, which would require Canadian companies to exercise public due diligence in sourcing minerals from the Great Lakes Region of Africa.
Judith Sargentini, is a Member of the European Parliament for the Greens. Judith is concerned with the files fair trade, human rights, press freedom, digital freedom, democratic governance in Europe, privacy and migration. Judith is the Vice President of the Interparliamentary Delegation to South Africa.
Additionally, Judith worked as an international campaign coordinator for Fatal Transactions, a foundation that focuses it's energy on the international trade of conflict diamonds.
