Extending Open Call for Nominations: AA1000AS Working Group
LONDON, July 29, 2015 /3BL Media/ - The Nominations Committee has extended the open invitation period to serve on the Working Group for the new version of the AA1000 Assurance Standard (AA1000AS) till 12th August 2015. While appreciative of the applications received through the Open call till 10th of July 2015, the Nominations Committee has determined that a wider participant base should represent the range of stakeholders of the AA1000. Once an appropriate pool of candidates is collected, the Nomination Committees will proceed with the recommendations for selection.
The Working Group will operate under the mandate laid out in its’ Terms of Reference. Working Group membership will comprise of a diverse group of selected volunteers, representing a range of stakeholders contributing their expertise in sustainability, assurance and other relevant standards. The Working Group is supported by AccountAbility, the secretariat and steward of the AA1000 Series.
Stakeholders wishing to serve on the Working Group will now have until 12th August 2015 to complete their applications for consideration to the Nominations Committee. Applications should be sent to standards@accountability.org. All interested stakeholders, including previous members of the Interim Standards Board, Advisory Council and Technical Working Groups/ Committees are invited to apply.
