Fortune Names Aflac to Most Admired Companies List
Insurance Giant Makes Prestigious List for 16th Time
Columbus, Ga., February 21, 2017 /3BL Media/ - Aflac, the leader in voluntary insurance sales at the worksite in the United States, announced today that the company has once again been named to Fortune Magazine’s list of the World’s Most Admired Companies. This marks the 16th time that the Georgia-based insurance company has been included on the prestigious list.

To make the Most Admired Companies list, 680 companies out of 1,500 originally considered in 51 different industries were surveyed in the United States and 27 other countries. To be included on the list, companies are required to score in the top 50 percent in their respective industries. Aflac finished fourth overall in the Insurance, Life and Health category.
Aflac is ranked number 135 on the Fortune 500 and has been placed on Fortune’s Best Companies to Work For list for 18 consecutive years. The company also appears on several other lists by Fortune, including the 50 Best Workplaces for Diversity, 10 Best Workplaces for African-Americans, 50 Best Workplaces for Parents, 100 Best Workplaces for Women, 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials and 30 Best Workplaces to Retire From.
