Free Webinar - Implementing the Post-2015 Development Agenda
Building the Backbones / Platforms for Partnering around the SDGs
May 28, 2015 1:00 PM ET
May 28, 2015 /3BL Media/ - In September, world leaders will adopt the post-2015 development agenda, with the promise to tackle extreme poverty, curb climate change, and put the world on a more prosperous and sustainable path by 2030. The question of how this ambitious vision will be implemented on the ground is increasingly dominating discussions. Multi-stakeholder partnerships, which can pool knowledge, expertise, technologies, and financial resources to achieve innovative and sustainable solutions, are seen as a key mechanism to deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, the ambition of the SDGs means that such collaborations will be required at a scale and quality that dwarf current efforts. So what modalities, what 'infrastructure' will be required to systematically drive strong, effective partnerships for the SDGs?
Join the webinar to hear two expert organizations and two experienced partnership professionals from Tanzania and Zambia discuss highly promising mechanisms to drive that collaboration: backbone structures or 'platforms for partnership' that convene, broker, and directly support partnership. There will be ample time for questions from the audience, and we look forward to a lively discussion. This is a free webinar sponsored by the Skoll Foundation.
