The Freeport-McMoRan Foundation Funds a Training and Technology Center in Safford, Arizona
The Freeport-McMoRan Foundation awarded $75,000 through the Graham County Community Investment Fund to the Safford Unified School District for a new training and technology center.
The new Center will offer after-school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programs such as robotics, 3-D printing and coding.
The new center will have meeting spaces that feature videoconferencing and computer access available for local not-for-profit organizations. The building will be accessible for people with disabilities and is expected to be ready for use by January 2017 at the latest.
