Freeport-McMoRan releases 2015 Working Toward Sustainable Development Report “Proving our Mettle”

The Freeport-McMoRan 2015 Working Toward Sustainable Development report is meant to provide stakeholders with summary information on their sustainability programs, including policies, management systems and performance data.

Highlights from the annual Working Toward Sustainable Development report include:

  • Investment in women’s economic empowerment programs such as DreamBuilder.

  • Freeport-McMoRan’s longtime commitment to the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI).

  • Continued investment in projects that provide the efficient use of energy and adaptation measures to establish more efficient water utilization.

  • Public health programs that reduce the risks of infectious diseases such as malaria, HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis that impact communities near Freeport-McMoRan operations.

The report has been prepared in accordance with the Global Report Initiative’s G4 guidelines and has been independently verified.
