Freeport-McMoRan’s Ojos del Salado Exploration Group Receives National Safety Award

Ojos del Salado, a Freeport-McMoRan company, and the Chilean Safety Regulatory Association recently recognized the Ojos del Salado Exploration Team for its nine years of work without a lost-time occupational accident.

Safety is the highest priority at all Freeport-McMoRan operations.

Ojos del Salado operates two underground copper mines approximately 10 miles east of Copiapó in northern Chile’s Atacama province, Region III.
