FSG Hosts Panel Discussion on Inadequate Property Rights for Informal Housing Residents
January 30, 2017 /3BL Media/ - This February 15th, FSG is commemorating the launch of their new report, Informal Housing, Inadequate Property Rights, with a panel discussion highlighting key findings from the research. This report takes a comprehensive, in-depth review of property rights throughout India’s informal housing settlements, which include slums and unauthorized housing.

About the Report
Informal Housing, Inadequate Property Rights examines the different types of informal housing in India and how property rights differ across these groups. Each segment presents its own challenges and potential solutions.
Research for the report included interviews with over 700 residents of informal housing across 120 settlements and with 56 experts (individuals with expertise or experience with urban planning, social enterprises, financial services, NGOs, government, and philanthropic organizations), as well as a review of 40 reports. In-depth analysis centered around 40 settlements in 4 cities (Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, and Cuttack). 21 experts provided feedback on the final research.
