Fundamentals of Measurement Program Dates Announced
Course offered through The Measurement Academy, an ACCP and Corporate Citizenship Collaboration
ORLANDO, Fla., January 26, 2015 /3BL Media/ – ACCP announced that Fundamentals of Measurement, a program of The Measurement Academy, will be offered June 10 – June 12, 2015 in Orlando, Florida.
Over the past several years, impact measurement has been increased in importance. In fact, ACCP’s 2014 Trend Report showed that 60% of the companies surveyed for the study plan to increase their focus on measuring the impact of their social investments.
"Increased pressure for companies to demonstrate the quantitative and qualitative results of social investments has fueled the demand for corporate responsibility executives that understand measurement,” said Mark Shamley, President & CEO of ACCP.
“As such, corporate responsibility executives are looking for a program that will give them the foundational knowledge needed to assess CR programs,” Shamley continued.
Fundamentals of Measurement is a 2 ½ day program designed to give CR professionals an overview of the measurement landscape and ground them in the process of measuring business and social impacts using the LBG framework, an open source logic model.
“CR professionals are responsible for large investments on behalf of the corporations they represent,” said Shamley. “Making wise decisions in the face of limited resources requires a sophisticated understanding of the returns, both social and business. This program will provide executives the tools required to make the best choices.”
Registration for the June course is open. For more information on the program, visit http://www.accprof.org/events/impact-measurement/.
