Gen Z Has Spoken: Booz Allen Retains No. 6 Rank as Best Workplace for New Grads
As thousands of members of Generation Z return to campus this fall, those who have graduated are taking their new credentials to the marketplace. And for many, their employer of choice is Booz Allen, which retains its No. 6 ranking on Forbes’ list of America’s Best Employers for New Grads for 2019.
Doing well while doing good
To compile the list, Forbes and research firm Statista surveyed over 10,000 young professionals across the nation. How would they rate their own employer, and which other companies would they recommend within their industry?
The survey evaluated employers in areas such as atmosphere and development, image, working conditions, salary and wages, and workplace diversity.
“Cash is still king, but for these newly minted grads, so is the prospect of working for an organization that truly lives up to its stated mission,” Forbes wrote in this year’s announcement. “And some companies have proven they can offer both.”
In prestigious company
Booz Allen joins LinkedIn, Adobe, and Fidelity Investments in the top 10 and ranks higher than Google, Apple, and Microsoft.
“It’s an honor to be regarded so highly by professionals entering the workforce,” said Patricia Porter, vice president of talent acquisition at Booz Allen. “This award is also validation of our BE Promise: empowering employees to meet their full potential by helping them build relevant skills, access opportunity and choice, and receive appreciation for their contributions.”
Booz Allen has received several other recognitions from Forbes, including Best Large Employers, America’s Best Employers for Diversity, Best Employers for Women, Best Management Consulting Firms, and Top 15 Employers for Veterans.
