As part of General Mills’ Hometown Grant Program, 19 community organizations in Covington and the surrounding area have received more than $250,000 in grant money.
Honorees were treated to a breakfast banquet Friday morning at the General Mills west plant on Industrial Boulevard.
“I can see after being here only a year and a half why so many people want to stay here or come back to Covington,”said Josh Anderson, Covington plant manager and 20-year employee of General Mills. “We appreciate every little thing you have done for our community. We understand that what you do is not easy and it is challenging and we feel it is our responsibility to stay closely connected and uphold a partnership with each and every one of you. You’re the ones who have allowed us to call Covington home for over 29 years.”
